Also on the programme is the contemplative, well-loved Cantique de Jean Racine, Stanford’s Songs of the Sea and the Flower Duet from Lakmé alongside folk songs, spirituals, barbershop and jazz arrangements. Exultate Singers in York Minster
David conducts Exultate Singers in its first visit to York Minster on the 5th and 6th June 2010. The choir will sing services there – Evensong at 5.15pm on Saturday, a Common Worship Eucharist at 10am and Book of Common Prayer Eucharist at 11.30am on Sunday morning, and Evensong on Sunday afternoon at 4pm. The music list includes Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G minor and Rheinberger’s double choir Cantus Missae op.109. The choir will also revisit links with York Minster’s former Organist and Master of the Music Philip Moore (from whom they commissioned a piece for their fifth anniversary) when they perform his setting of Lo!
