Festive Fiesta

Saturday 19 December, St George’s Bristol

Join in with the 100 voices of City of Bristol Choir to sing some of your favourite carols, accompanied by professional orchestra the Bristol Ensemble. Festive orchestral music and beautiful carols sung by the choir are interspersed with uplifting traditional Christmas carols for audience members to sing, directed by David Ogden and Roger Huckle.

Carols by Candlelight

Wednesday 9 and Saturday 12 December, St James Priory, Bristol

Exultate Singers returns to perform the choir’s much-loved Christmas Christmas concerts in the candlelit setting of the medieval church of St James Priory, the oldest building in Bristol.

The concerts will be given on Wednesday 9th December at 7.30pm (finishing 9.40pm), and Saturday 12th December at 4.30pm (finishing at 6.40pm), with an interval when refreshments will be served.

Salamanca

City of Bristol Choir tour to Salamanca

City of Bristol Choir travels to Salamanca for a tour during which they will perform in the old and new cathedrals of the city, and travel to Medina de Riosecco to give a concert.

Mass in Salamanca New Cathedral – Sunday 25 October at 12 noon
Concert in Salamanca Old Cathedral – Sunday 25 October at 8pm
Concert in Medina de Rioseco – Monday 26 October at 8.15pm

Exultate Singers – A Sense of the Divine, Isles of Song

Saturday 17 October at 7.30pm, St George’s Bristol

Travel the British Isles in song with Exultate Singers, conducted by David Ogden. A captivating and vibrant programme explores the musical traditions of the British Isles, pairing grand choral masterpieces of the past with lyrical contemporary works and beautifully crafted arrangements of traditional songs.

At the heart of the programme is Tallis’ spectacular 40-part masterpiece Spem in Alium, performed in the round.
