Royal Mail Choir singing for The Prince of Wales

David conducts the Royal Mail Choir as they sing for The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall at a Royal Mail reception to mark the 500th anniversary of the postal service. Their Royal Highnesses will meet long-serving postmen and women from around the country, participants in Royal Mail’s Apprenticeship scheme and Army Reservists.

At the end of the reception Their Royal Highnesses will unveil a replica of an original Penfold postbox, which will be permanently positioned in St Martin’s Le Grand, outside the former General Post Office Headquarters in London.

The piece has been recorded by Exultate Singers (Visions of Peace CD) and Westbury-on-Trym Parish Church Choir (All Times And Seasons CD), and the sheet music is available from the RSCM

David will conduct Bristol Youth Choir live on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune for BBC Music Day at the Colston Hall. The Juniors will be performing at 4.45pm and the Seniors at 5.45pm, including a collaboration with violinist Jennifer Pike

Handel’s Messiah

Saturday 19 March at 7.30pm, St George’s Bristol

Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra and Exultate Singers are joined by soprano Elizabeth Weisberg, alto Eleanor Harries, tenor Thomas Herford and bass Martin Le Poidevin to perform Handel’s choral masterpiece, Messiah. Sacred French Choral music with City of Bristol Choir

David conducts the 100 singers of City of Bristol Choir in a programme of French sacred music which includes Vierne’s mighty Messe Solennelle, performed alongside Fauré’s exquisitely beautiful anthem Cantique de Jean Racine and motets by Duruflé, Dupré, Saint-Saëns and Villette.
