Exultate Singers: A Sense of the DivineSaturday 25th February 2012 at 7.30pm Following last year’s sell-out concert, Exultate Singers returns to St George’s Bristol to perform a thrilling programme of choral music including Tallis’ 40-part motet, Spem in Alium. St George’s intimate atmosphere and perfect acoustics will resonate to a beautiful sequence of ‘divine’ music, both sacred and secular, from celebrated renaissance choral works to arrangements of contemporary songs.The programme also includes the rarely heard Dixit Dominus in 24 parts by the 17th Century Italian Orazio Benevoli, first performed in St Peter’s Rome with six choirs positioned around the dome.
