Friday 5 June 2015
David conducted a choir of singers from Bristol Youth Choir and City of Bristol Choir together with Charles Hazlewood’s British Paraorchestra and musicians from OpenUp Music at the very first BBC Music Day at the Colston Hall.
David’s arrangement of Pachelbel’s Canon, The Songs You Learn By Heart was broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 and was part of an hour-long concert broadcast on BBC local radio including Radio Bristol and Radio Wiltshire.
The event was featured on BBC Points West (video of their report here) and David also conducted the choir and orchestra live on The One Show in a performance of True Colours.
With thanks to everyone at Bristol Plays Music and the BBC for their work in co-ordinating the event.
